Open multiple Finder window for MAC
Still adjusting and getting familiarization of what Mac has to offer to me. And shortcut keys is a powerful tool for a new Mac user like me. One of the shortcut keys that I’ve been using in Windows is opening a multiple explorer using the shortcut key (Windows + E) . This is will enable us to copy and move files from one window to another window easily.
When I moved to Mac, one of the shortcut keys that I am looking is how to open multiple windows for Finder app. Finder app is the equivalent application for Explorer application in windows.
Above shows the screenshot I have on my desktop showing two Finder application.
So here are the simple steps on getting a multiple Finder application.
1. Open a Finder application by clicking the Finder icon location at your dock. (I have it on my dock)
2. After the Finder application is open and becomes your active window , using shortcut keys (Command+N) will open a new Finder application as shown on my screenshot above.
Another way is using the Menu of Finder application under File menu dropdown. Screenshot is attached below.
Hope that helps. Thanks!
